Essential Functions and DutiesManage budgets and financial plans, control expenditure, and maximize profitablilityMaintain and analyze statistical and financial recordsSet and achieve revenue sales and profit targetsRecruit, develop, train, and lead staffPlan work schedules for individuals and teams based on business operational needsAppropriately respond to and resolve guest concernsAddress problems and troubleshootEmpower associates to take ownership of the guest experienceEnsure events and conferences run smoothlyPreserve hotel assets, including but not limited to supervising maintenance, supplies, renovations, and furnishingsMaintain relationships with contractors, vendors, and suppliersEnsure a safe and secure environment for all guests and associatesMaintain appropriate inspections of the property as identified by the organization and brandEnsure the property meets brand guidelines and expectations for service and all standardsEnsure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulationsPerform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectivesRequired Experience, Education, and SkillsPrevious experience as General Manager or Assistant General Manager at a similar size and type of hotelBachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or Business preferredAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writingDemonstrated ability to lead a teamDemonstrated ability to develop, empower, and motivate associatesExcellent attention to detailFinancial acumen with experience managing budgets and profitabilityProficient in Microsoft Office productsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-taskFlexible schedule based on business demandsWork Environment and Physical DemandsSitting at a desk and working on a computerWalking and inspecting the property, including rooms, public space, back of house and building inspectionsMust be able to access and navigate all asreas of the hotelMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a timeOther DutiesThis job description is not intended to be a comprehensive listing of all activities, duties, or responsibilities required of the associate in this role.
