If solving problems quickly and keeping guests happy is your thing, this Hotel Facilities Operations Technician role is for you. You’ll combine preventive care with rapid response, ensuring our property is safe, reliable, and comfortable.

Your impact

  • Do you enjoy routine and preventive rounds? You’ll service guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Can you diagnose and repair basic systems? Expect electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical tasks.
  • Do you thrive under pressure? You’ll respond quickly and professionally to guest requests and work orders.
  • Are you safety-minded? You’ll inspect for hazards, needed repairs, and code compliance throughout the hotel.
  • Comfortable with hands-on fixes? You’ll handle painting, drywall, fixtures, appliances, doors, locks, and flooring.
  • Know your building systems? You’ll maintain boilers, water heaters, A/C units, and ventilation.
  • Quality-focused? You’ll support room turns and preventive inspections to meet brand standards.
  • Organized? You’ll maintain detailed logs and close out work orders on time.
  • Safety-first? You’ll follow procedures for tools, chemicals, and PPE without compromise.
  • Collaborative? You’ll help coordinate vendors and supervise contracted work when needed.
  • Reliable? You’ll join the on-call rotation and assist with emergencies, including some nights, weekends, or holidays.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Hotel, apartment, or facilities maintenance experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment—used safely
  • Sharp troubleshooting skills and sound judgment
  • Strong time management and prioritization
  • Customer-service mindset with clear, professional communication
  • Comfort working independently with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver’s license (if required for the property)

Physical and environmental realities

  • Stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Use ladders and work in confined spaces as needed
  • Work indoors and outdoors in a range of weather conditions
