Position Summary
Public House seeks a Host to ensure customers have a positive experience when they enter the restaurant. This role will greet customers, provide information, help customers find their table, and work closely with Front of House and Back of House staff, as well as managers. This role requires availability to work in shifts as needed as well as weekends and holidays. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area, and excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person). This part time, seasonal role starts at $15.16/hour plus tip pool. The seasons run December - March and May - October
Position Purpose
A successful Host consistently creates a welcoming atmosphere, keeps the dining room flowing efficiently, communicates effectively with the entire team, and ensures every guest feels appreciated from arrival through departure. They understand that hospitality begins before guests are seated and continues until they leave the restaurant, making the Host one of the most important ambassadors of the Public House experience.
