Description

Host / Hostess
$9–$12/hr · Paid weekly · No experience needed · Ford City, PA

You're the first person every guest meets and the last one they see. The night starts with you.

Why you'll love working here:
  • $9–$12/hr, paid weekly.
  • Performance bonuses based on attendance, time-off requests through 7shifts, and how the front of house runs on your shifts.
  • Flexible hours, full-time or part-time. Tell us what you need and we'll build around it.
  • Meal discounts — 50% on shift, 25% off shift.
  • Most holidays off. Spend the time with your family.
  • No experience required. If you're friendly and organized, we'll teach you the rest.

Who We Are:
People drive to Ford City on purpose for this place — 6,200 sq. ft. of timber frame, a rustic fireplace, a sports bar that fills up, scratch food, and one of the biggest tap lists in the valley. On a good night there's a wait at the door, and how it's handled sets the tone for everything after. We live by Ryan's Three A's: Atmosphere, the fireplace, the sports bar, the energy. Ammunition, the food and drink we put in front of people. Attitude, our team — the part you can't buy.

Your Role:
  • You set the first impression and control the flow of the room. Seating well is the difference between a smooth night and a buried kitchen.
  • Greet every guest warmly, in person and on the phone.
  • Manage the wait list and quote honest wait times.
  • Seat evenly across sections so no server — or the kitchen — gets buried.
  • Take reservations and to-go orders, and know the menu well enough to answer questions.
  • Keep the entry and host stand clean, and thank every guest on the way out.

What we're looking for:
  • A warm, outgoing personality. You're the first face of the restaurant.
  • Organized under pressure — a full book and a wait doesn't rattle you.
  • Clear communication with servers, the bar, and the kitchen.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • No experience necessary; we'll train you.
  • Evenings and weekends, reliable transportation, legal working age.

Where it goes:
Host is where a lot of our servers started. Learn the room, the menu, and the guests from the door, and a section is the next step.
