Host/Hostess

The Walnut Speakeasy is looking for a friendly, outgoing, and dependable Host/Hostess to join our team! As the first person guests see when entering, you'll help create a welcoming atmosphere and keep the restaurant running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests in a friendly, professional manner.

• Seat guests promptly and manage the waitlist during busy hours.

• Answer phone calls and assist with customer questions.

• Communicate with servers and management to maintain smooth seating rotation.

• Keep the host stand, entrance, and waiting areas clean and organized.

• Assist with bussing tables, cleaning menus, and resetting tables when needed.

• Help with takeout orders and other front-of-house tasks.

• Provide excellent customer service and handle guest concerns professionally.

  
  

  Qualifications:

  • Friendly, positive attitude and strong communication skills.

  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to multitask and stay organized during busy shifts.

  • Willingness to help coworkers and work as a team.

  • Availability on evenings, weekends, and during major sporting events.

  • Previous restaurant experience preferred but not required. Willing to train the right person!
