What You'll Be Doing:- Greet guests promptly with a warm, friendly attitude
- Manage the waitlist, quote accurate wait times, and communicate seating flow to servers and managers
- Escort guests to tables and ensure menus, silverware, and seating areas are clean and ready
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entryway, and lobby areas
- Answer phones, take to‑go orders accurately, and assist with curbside pickup when needed
- Communicate table availability and rotation to support fair and efficient seating
- Assist with bussing and resetting tables during peak times
- Provide helpful, positive interactions with guests throughout their visit
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
- Support the front‑of‑house team with any additional tasks needed to keep service running smoothly
Physical & Lifting Requirements- Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift (typically 4–8 hours)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds (menus, highchairs, booster seats, cleaning supplies)
- Frequent bending, reaching, and moving through a busy dining room
- Ability to navigate tight spaces while escorting guests
Work Environment- High‑volume breakfast and lunch service
- Frequent exposure to cleaning supplies, hot plates, and busy guest areas
- Requires teamwork, communication, and a positive, service‑oriented mindset.
