Join Proximo, a Spanish tapas and wine bar located in downtown Chapel Hill, inspired by the vibrant tavernas of Spain. As a Host at Proximo, you will be an essential part of our team, ensuring every guest has a delightful experience from the moment they walk in.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and greet guests with a professional and friendly demeanor
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently
- Build and maintain an accurate waitlist using Resy.com
- Answer the phone and precisely communicate answers to guests' needs
- Coordinate with servers to provide excellent service
- Assist with table setting and dining room maintenance
- Maintain a tidy and organized work space
- Facilitate any gift card needs
Qualifications:
- One+ years of experience in a customer service or hospitality role
- Advanced communication and time management skills
- Team player who is willing to help at any job when needed
- Availability on weekends and some holidays
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
- Ability to work on your feet for seven hours
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
- Ability to lift 25 pounds overhead onto high shelves
