Position Summary
We are seeking a gracious, polished, and service-oriented Host to be the first and last impression at Boon Fly Cafe. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, upscale environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional hospitality with warmth and professionalism.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Warmly welcome guests upon arrival and provide a genuine, memorable first impression
- Manage reservations and walk-ins using reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable or similar platforms)
- Coordinate table assignments to optimize flow and ensure smooth service
- Communicate effectively with management, servers, and kitchen staff regarding guest needs and timing
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting host stand and entry area
- Provide accurate information about menus, specials, resort amenities, and local attractions
- Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and concerns with professionalism and care
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in a similar role within luxury hospitality.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
- Familiarity with property or outlet-specific needs (e.g., Boon Fly, FARM, Hilltop).
- Team player mentality and a commitment to maintaining the resort’s high standards.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on event volume and business needs with ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and move between indoor and outdoor venues on the resort property
- Ability to navigate the resort’s expansive property as applicable.
