Description

The Manager in Training (MIT) program is an entry-level leadership opportunity designed to develop future hospitality leaders through hands-on, rotational experience. This 18-month program includes three approximately six-month rotations within the Hospitality Division, including Hotel Front Office, Food & Beverage, and Housekeeping. Participants gain exposure to daily operations, team leadership, and guest service excellence while developing foundational management skills. This position begins October 1, 2026.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support department managers in maintaining service, quality, and operational standards

  • Assist with staff training, onboarding, and day-to-day supervision

  • Promote effective communication between shifts and departments

  • Lead by example and reinforce a positive, service-focused team culture

  • Monitor team performance and provide coaching and feedback as needed

  • Recommend service and process improvements to enhance guest experience

  • Participate in department meetings and operational planning

  • Assist in covering manager duties as needed during absences

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent, high-quality customer service

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Four-year degree preferred; equivalent hospitality or related experience considered

  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to motivate, coach, and work collaboratively with diverse teams

  • Desire to learn, adapt, and grow within a hospitality leadership role

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts

  • Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, and reaching. 
  • Can safely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
