We have a PRN opportunity for an Experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our hospitalist team at Anne Arundel Medical Center. This is a flexible block shift schedule.
Job Description
Our hospitalist team provides inpatient internal medicine care within the hospital setting, including admitting patients, performing physical exams, ordering tests, diagnosing, performing hospital rounds and planning for discharge.
- Follow all established policies for maintenance and signing of medical records.
- Contribute to the achievement of department goals and adhere to policies, procedures, and quality and safety standards.
- Submit accurate and timely charges for all professional services performed.

- Full-service hospitalist practice at Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center (LHAAMC)
- LHAAMC has achieved a second Magnet Designation awarded by the ANCC
- University hospital with excellent specialty support
- Average 15 patients/day
- Closed ICU, our team is not expected to perform procedures or run codes
- Staffing Model: 23 providers; 12 physicians/11 APPs
- EMR: EPIC
- Beds 423
- Graduate of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
- Responsibilities include providing acute inpatient care within the hospital setting, including admitting patients, performing physical exams, ordering tests, diagnosing, performing hospital rounds, and planning for discharge. Our Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners work side by side with our physicians as clinical colleagues.
- APPs are encouraged to work at the top of their license. We offer a robust, personally tailored and highly acclaimed onboarding program.
Requirements
- 1+ years acute inpatient experience as an advanced practice provider
- Strong inpatient skill set
- Quality-focused team player
- Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to function effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient care
- Active license, American Heart Association CPR Certification, DEA License, state Controlled Substance Registration, BLS and ACLS
