Transform patient care and the community as a Day or Night Hospital Medicine Physician in Columbus, Ohio.

Bring better to the bedside in Columbus. In this role, you'll combine clinical skill with purpose, delivering patient-centered care and driving performance in a supportive environment. You'll have the autonomy to lead and the resources to grow-while making a difference for patients and families every day.

We are hiring for a nocturnist position. A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

    Local Team Collaboration:

    • We are seeking a day hospitalist and a nocturnist to join our well-established team of 18 physicians and 7 advanced practice providers (APPs), supported by a clinical performance nurse, a clinical performance associate, and a group coordinator at Mt. Carmel East.
    • Collaborate with a diverse group of professionals from around the world. We are an integral part of our hospital community and a valued strategic partner, maintaining great relationships with hospital leadership and other physician groups.
    • Our team actively participates in committees and leadership roles to support quality and process improvement.
    • Outside of work, we come together for social events to celebrate special occasions and share common interests like food and sports.

    Qualifications:

    • Board-certified/eligible in family or internal medicine.

    Scheduling:

    • Full-time positions follow a 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation, but we understand the importance of spending time with family and enjoying the outdoors.
    • We offer a flexible schedule that allows for work-life balance. Our team covers for each other when anyone is out, ensuring that you can enjoy time off without worry.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Focus on managing complex cases in an open ICU environment with intensivist coverage, without the expectation of performing procedures or running codes.
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to teaching medical and APP students from surrounding universities and programs on occasion.
    • Participate in regular team meetings, held two to three times per week, to discuss critical items, and engage in monthly regional meetings to review performance and address outstanding practice matters.

    Living and Working in Columbus:

    • Vibrant and affordable city: Columbus offers a thriving job market, diverse cultural attractions, and a lower cost of living-an appealing blend for those seeking a balanced urban lifestyle.
    • Supportive community: Known for its strong sense of community, diverse neighborhoods, and top universities, Columbus is a welcoming place for individuals and families to call home.
    • Growth-focused environment: Our team puts patients first and offers opportunities for career development while encouraging meaningful involvement in the local community.

    • Rewarding compensation structure.
