Job Details

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to fill the role of a Permanent Hospital Warehouse Specialist. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-paced, growth-oriented team in the healthcare industry. This role is ideal for those who have a passion for healthcare, logistics, and supply chain management. As a Hospital Warehouse Specialist, you will be responsible for managing medical supplies, equipment, and inventory in a hospital setting. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or similar healthcare environment.

This opportunity is an 8:00am - 4:30pm position, with a Monday - Friday schedule.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all aspects of the hospital warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory control, distribution, and logistics.
2. Ensure that all medical supplies and equipment are stored properly and are easily accessible.
3. Implement and maintain inventory control systems to ensure that the hospital has adequate supplies at all times.
4. Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconciliations.
5. Collaborate with hospital departments to understand their supply needs and ensure those needs are met.
6. Coordinate the disposal of surplus equipment and supplies in accordance with hospital policies and regulations.
7. Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment.
8. Train and supervise warehouse staff to ensure efficient and effective operations.
9. Work closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of orders.
10. Assist in the preparation and management of the warehouse budget.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or similar healthcare environment.
2. Knowledge of hospital operations and healthcare industry standards.
3. Proven experience in warehouse management and logistics.
4. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Proficiency in inventory management software and systems.
8. Ability to lift and move heavy items and equipment.
9. Knowledge of safety regulations and guidelines in a warehouse environment.
10. A problem-solving mindset with the ability to make quick, effective decisions under pressure.
11. A commitment to providing excellent service to all hospital departments and ensuring that their supply needs are met.
