Port Cities Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated professional to join our leadership team as a Hospital Manager. The successful candidate will share our commitment to delivering exceptional client service, outstanding veterinary care, and a positive work environment for our team. In partnership with the Chief of Staff, the Hospital Manager plays a key role in driving the productivity, profitability, and growth of the hospital while fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, leadership development, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing operational oversight of the hospital and daily workflow
- Leading and developing our technician and client service teams
- Managing financial performance, budgets, payroll, inventory, and key performance indicators
- Supporting business development and hospital growth initiatives
- Monitoring client satisfaction and implementing strategies to strengthen client loyalty
- Training and coaching team members to deliver exceptional client service
- Collaborating with doctors and department leaders to support quality patient care and operational excellence
- Recruiting, onboarding, developing, and retaining top talent
- Facility maintenance
Qualifications We are seeking a leader who combines strong business acumen with hands-on veterinary technical experience. Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) credentials preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of veterinary technical experience, including:
- Supporting veterinarians during patient examinations
- Performing and overseeing laboratory services
- Assisting with vaccinations and preventive care
- Taking and reviewing radiographs (X-rays)
- Supporting surgical procedures
- Assisting with dentistry and dental radiography
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership or management experience
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and execute efficiently
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
- Experience managing revenue, payroll, inventory, and operational budgets
- Ability to build and maintain a positive, collaborative team culture
