The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a respected hospice provider in the DFW Metroplex, seeking an experienced RN Admissions Nurse to guide
patients and families through their transition into hospice care.
Reporting to the Managing Director – Hospice, the RN
Admissions Nurse, serves as the first point of clinical contact for hospice
patients and their families. You'll complete comprehensive admissions, develop
individualized plans of care, and collaborate with physicians and the
interdisciplinary team to ensure every patient begins their hospice journey
with dignity, compassion, and support.
Schedule: Full-Time
What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities
- Complete
comprehensive hospice admissions and nursing assessments
- Develop
and document individualized plans of care
- Coordinate
care with physicians, the interdisciplinary team and institutional
referral partners
- Complete
2–3 admissions daily or provide routine patient visits as needed
- Deliver
skilled nursing care and ensure infection control compliance
- Maintain
timely, accurate clinical documentation
- Participate
in PRN emergency on-call rotation & crisis resolution for patient
support
- Support
quality improvement and professional development
- Perform
additional duties as assigned
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications
- Graduate
of an accredited Diploma, ADN, or BSN Nursing program
- Current
Texas RN license
- 2+
years of RN clinical experience; 1+ year of hospice experience required
- ER,
OR, or Critical Care experience preferred; Current CPR certification
Additional Requirements
- Valid
driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance
- Current
TB testing and Hepatitis consent/declination documentation
- Ability
to pass a criminal background check
- Adapt
to changing field environments and schedules
- Knowledge
of state and federal hospice regulations
- Strong
communication, clinical decision-making, time management, adaptability,
and emotional resilience
