Glory Hospice is seeking an experienced, compassionate physician to serve as our Hospice Medical Director. This is an opportunity to provide meaningful clinical leadership while helping patients and families receive exceptional comfort-focused care at the end of life.
Responsibilities

• Provide medical leadership and direction for the hospice program.
• Participate in hospice eligibility determinations, certifications, and recertifications as required by Medicare.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and oversee individualized plans of care.
• Provide clinical guidance regarding symptom management, medications, and changes in patient condition.
• Support quality, compliance, documentation, and adherence to applicable Medicare and California hospice requirements.
• Serve as a trusted clinical resource to hospice staff, patients, and families.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with a current, unrestricted California physician license.
• At least two years of full-time supervisory or managerial experience within the past five years in hospice, home health, or palliative care, consistent with California hospice Medical Director requirements.
• Hospice, palliative care, or home health experience strongly preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, leadership, and documentation skills.
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered end-of-life care.
• Must meet applicable Medicare and California requirements for hospice Medical Director eligibility.
