What You’ll Do
  • Lead daily operations of the hospice department, ensuring quality patient care and regulatory compliance
  • Develop strategic plans, monitor performance metrics, and oversee fiscal management
  • Serve as a clinical leader, providing direct patient care when needed and ensuring interdisciplinary communication
  • Manage staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations
  • Oversee departmental budget, billing, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Promote hospice services through community outreach, public relations, and professional engagements
  • Maintain compliance with all federal and state regulations, including mandatory hospice administration training
  • Collaborate with hospital and community partners to enhance patient and family support
What You Need
  • Required: Registered Nurse license in Texas; completion of hospice-specific administrative training within 12 months
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing; 2+ years hospice leadership experience; strong organizational and communication skills
