What Youll Do
- Lead daily operations of the hospice department, ensuring quality patient care and regulatory compliance
- Develop strategic plans, monitor performance metrics, and oversee fiscal management
- Serve as a clinical leader, providing direct patient care when needed and ensuring interdisciplinary communication
- Manage staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations
- Oversee departmental budget, billing, and quality improvement initiatives
- Promote hospice services through community outreach, public relations, and professional engagements
- Maintain compliance with all federal and state regulations, including mandatory hospice administration training
- Collaborate with hospital and community partners to enhance patient and family support
What You Need
- Required: Registered Nurse license in Texas; completion of hospice-specific administrative training within 12 months
- Preferred: Bachelors of Science in Nursing; 2+ years hospice leadership experience; strong organizational and communication skills
