What Youll Do
- Lead daily operations of the hospice department, ensuring quality and compliance
- Develop strategic plans, monitor team performance, and meet departmental goals
- Oversee regulatory adherence and maintain up-to-date policies and procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare partners, hospital leadership, and community organizations
- Provide clinical supervision and direct patient care when necessary
- Manage staffing, hire and train team members, and support ongoing staff development
- Oversee department budget, billing, and performance improvement initiatives
- Promote hospice services through community outreach and public relations
- Ensure all team members operate within scope of practice and adhere to legal standards
What You Need
Required:- RN licensure in Texas
- Completion of 16 hours of hospice-specific administrative education within 12 months of hire
- Strong leadership skills and experience in hospice administration
- Knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred:- Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing
- Two or more years of hospice administrative experience
