Hospice Director of Clinical Services (DCS/DON)

Puget Sound Home Health & Hospice is seeking an experienced Hospice Director of Clinical Services (DCS/DON) to lead our growing hospice program based in Tacoma, WA.

Position Details

• Location: Tacoma, WA (Hybrid)
• Schedule: Full-Time
• Salary: $130,000-$160,000 DOE

What You'll Do

• Provide leadership and oversight for hospice clinical operations.
• Ensure compliance with Medicare, state, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop clinical managers and staff.
• Oversee hiring, onboarding, performance management, and retention efforts.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and maintain survey readiness.
• Partner with agency leadership on budgeting, staffing, and strategic growth.
• Support exceptional patient and family care through interdisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

Required

• Active Washington RN license (or ability to obtain).
• BSN required.
• Current BLS certification.
• 3+ years of healthcare leadership experience.
• 1+ years of hospice leadership or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of hospice regulations and Medicare Conditions of Participation.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred

• MSN.
• Homecare Homebase (HCHB) experience.
• Hospice certification.
