    Long-Lewis of Hoover is looking for an Experienced Automotive Technician who's ready to grow, perform advanced diagnostics, and be part of a strong, customer-focused service department. 

    What You'll Do

    • Perform accurate vehicle diagnostics, including check engine lights, drivability concerns, warning indicators, electrical issues, and complex vehicle system concerns.
    • Diagnose and repair vehicles on all makes and models, including everything from brake jobs and suspension work to electrical repairs, trim-related concerns, and general maintenance.
    • Use diagnostic equipment, including scan tools, multimeters, and other specialized equipment, to identify issues and determine proper repair procedures.
    • Collaborate with service advisors and fellow technicians to ensure efficient workflow and excellent customer communication.
    • Document diagnostic findings, repairs performed, and recommendations accurately.
    • Follow manufacturer repair procedures and maintain all safety standards.
    • Keep your work area organized and maintain tools and equipment.

    What We're Looking For

    • 5+ years of professional technician experience in a dealership or high-volume repair facility.
    • Experience diagnosing drivability concerns and/or electrical and trim-related issues is strongly preferred. Candidates with expertise in either specialty - or both - are encouraged to apply.
    • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
    • Proficiency using diagnostic scan tools and interpreting diagnostic data.
    • ASE certifications are a plus but not required.
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
    • Team-oriented with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to quality workmanship.

    Pay & Benefits

    Flat Hour Rate based on experience and certifications

    Monday–Friday Schedule — No Weekends
