At Norm Reeves Honda Vista, we're looking for an experienced Used Car Manager who knows how to build a profitable pre-owned operation, make smart inventory decisions, and lead a team to success.
This isn't a role for someone who simply manages inventory from behind a desk. We're looking for a hands-on leader who understands the used car business from acquisition to sale, stays ahead of market trends, and knows how to balance volume, profitability, and customer experience.
If you're competitive, analytical, and passionate about the automotive business, we want to meet you!
What You'll Do
Own the pre-owned operation, driving sales volume, profitability, and inventory performance.
Source and acquire quality pre-owned vehicles through trade-ins, auctions, and other acquisition channels.
Appraise trades accurately and make competitive, data-driven purchasing decisions.
Monitor inventory aging, pricing, and market trends to maximize turn and minimize losses.
Oversee the reconditioning process to get vehicles frontline-ready quickly and efficiently.
Partner with Sales and Finance leadership to maximize opportunities and gross profit.
Coach and develop the sales team on pre-owned inventory, product knowledge, and deal structure.
Stay actively involved in daily operations, from working deals to managing inventory challenges.
Maintain high standards for vehicle quality, merchandising, and customer satisfaction.
What You'll Need
Proven experience as a Used Car Manager or Pre-Owned Sales Manager in a franchised automotive dealership.
Strong knowledge of vehicle appraisals, acquisitions, wholesale, and inventory management.
Experience using inventory and pricing tools such as vAuto, Kelley Blue Book, and auction platforms.
Solid understanding of used vehicle market trends, inventory turn, and gross profit management.
Strong leadership skills with a hands-on, team-oriented approach.
Confidence making decisions, solving problems, and holding yourself and others accountable.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
