IDR is seeking a Home Security Installer to join one of our top clients for an onsite opportunity in Troy, AL. This role involves installing and supporting various security systems, including alarm, access control, and CCTV, with a focus on hands-on installation and basic networking work. The company operates within the security industry, committed to providing reliable security solutions to its customers.
Position Overview for the Home Security Insaller:
- Install and support security systems including alarm, access control, and CCTV.
- Perform a mix of hands-on onsite installation work, including wiring and device setup.
- Conduct basic networking-related tasks that tie into security cameras and systems.
- Receive training and mentorship from experienced technicians to develop independence.
- Work in a physical, technical environment, often in confined or difficult spaces.
Requirements for the Home Security Insaller:
- Local to Troy, AL, and able to commute reliably daily.
- Comfortable with physical installation work (ladders, attics, crawlspaces, pulling cable).
- General hands-on technical aptitude with troubleshooting and logical thinking.
- Basic understanding of AC/DC electrical concepts.
- Light experience or familiarity with networking, IP cameras, alarm systems, access control, or CCTV (nice to have, but not required).
