POSITION SUMMARY:
Supervises, examines, evaluates, and oversees the loan production process at a home lending branch for 1st Security Bank. Applies supervisory responsibilities in accordance with 1st Security Bank’s policies and procedures. A proven leader in the communities served by 1st Security Bank including partnerships with local businesses, realtors, builders, title companies, insurance companies, and other entities tied to home lending. Provides the main point of contact for loan officers and a secondary point of contact for customers during the lending process. Responsible for the interviewing, hiring, rewarding, disciplining, addressing complaints, and overall customer (both inside and out) service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Manage the residential loan production team in the office assigned to the manager. Duties may include aspects of loan administration and support required to meet production goals.
- Manage branch pipeline activity through review and analysis of activity.
- Monitor and address branch compliance including RESPA, Regulation Z, HMDA, CRA/AML, BSA, Regulation B, and the Dodd-Frank Act. Ensure all staff follows required compliance procedures.
- Reviews, processes, close, and administer the oversight of loan proposals.
- Review “Trust” account funds related to loans in process. Ensure loan officers are collecting required fees per bank policy.
- Assist loan officers with developing loan range production goals and plans. Help to ensure initiatives established meet the parameters of 1st Security Bank.
- Hold regular communication and staff meetings. Participate in business development activities as needed to meet production goals. Provide projections for future growth as requested.
- Required in person or phone interviews with applicants and requests specific information for loan applications.
- Responsible for ensuring a strong customer experience with 1st Security Bank. This includes providing timely, regular, and accurate data to customers prior to, during, and post loan application/closing.
- Analyzes applicant’s financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine feasibility of loan activity and helps client’s fully complete applications that can be moved through the origination process.
- Corresponds with or interviews applicants to resolve questions related to home lending activities at 1st Security Bank.
- Inputs loan application information into the LOS and ensures data is complete, accurate, and within policy required guidelines.
- Responsible for rate locks on personal pipeline and responsible for managing the branch lock pipeline to company standards.
- Works with underwriting when required in regards to questions associated with any specific loan file or process tied to the branch.
- Develop marketing and business development goals for the branch assigned areas to achieve volume requirements.
- Manage expenses associated with branch operations including the oversight of fixed assets, marketing, loan officer collected expenses, and other expenses assigned to the branch.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other related areas preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of mortgage banking experience within the markets served by 1st Security Bank.
- Minimum annual personal production of $15MM per year. Production minimum requirement is to ensure management has the skills required by the lending staff.
- A high level of interpersonal and sales skills required.
- Proven management skills including sales coaching and motivational activities.
- Supervisory and recruiting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess a thorough understanding of loan programs including conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA.
- Knowledge of real estate lending and documentation requirements.
- Up to date knowledge of mortgage banking procedures including an in depth understanding of loan processing and regulatory requirements.
- Strong customer service skills required for external customer communications.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, spreadsheets, and database lending software.
- Must be able to handle pressure situations and meet deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of the local real estate market.
- Must be customer service oriented.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office Products and have the ability to learn other programs.

Salary Range: $28.89 per hour plus commission.
