What You’ll Do
Visit homeowners throughout Rhode Island for scheduled in-person appointments
Listen to clients’ home improvement concerns and assess their needs
Explain project options, consulting services, and cost-saving solutions clearly
Help homeowners make informed decisions about repairs, remodeling, and construction work
Close sales and follow up with clients to build long-term relationships
Track appointments, sales activity, and performance results
Home Improvement Sales Specialist
Rhode Island or New Jersey
Job Type: Part-Time | Field-Based | On the Road
Compensation: 15% Commission + $20/Hour Base Pay + Gas Reimbursement
The Builders & Cleaners is hiring two separate Home Improvement Sales Specialists:
One position for Rhode Island
One position for New Jersey
Each Sales Specialist will work and travel only within their assigned state.
You must have your own reliable vehicle.
About the Role
Are you confident meeting homeowners in person, building trust, and helping clients make smart decisions about their homes?
We are looking for motivated Sales Specialists with experience in home improvement, construction, remodeling, estimating, project management, or a related field.
You will meet with pre-qualified homeowners to understand their needs, explain practical home improvement solutions, answer questions, and help them move forward with the right services.
No cold calling is required. We provide the leads.

15% commission on net profit from closed sales
$20/hour base pay when no sales are made

What We’re Looking For
Prior in-person sales experience is required
Experience in home improvement, construction, remodeling, estimating, project management, or a related field is required
Strong communication, relationship-building, and closing skills
Ability to explain construction and home improvement solutions clearly and confidently
Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working independently
Valid driver’s license
Reliable personal vehicle
Willingness to travel throughout your assigned state
English fluency required
