Organization Information The Rowan County Schools serve approximately 3098 students, preschool through grade 12. Rowan County was one of the first districts to receive district wide accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. In addition to a centralized preschool, four elementary, one middle, one high school and the Blue Grass Discovery Academy, the Rowan County School district also includes the Morehead Youth Development Center. Each school is making great gains in student growth and closing the gap for student achievement. Our vision is ''''Together We Can.'''' Through the joint efforts of the family, school, and community, together we can ensure that our students are equipped with skills and abilities necessary to be successful in whatever they choose.
