Job Summary The Lab Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the scheduling, collection, processing, and reporting of laboratory tests for patients receiving in-home care. This role serves as the primary liaison between in-home nursing staff, patients, physician offices, and external laboratory vendors to ensure laboratory services are delivered accurately, efficiently, and on time. Key Responsibilities - Coordinate and schedule in-home laboratory services, including blood draws.
- Monitor laboratory orders to ensure timely specimen collection, processing, and reporting.
- Communicate with in-home nursing staff, patients, physician offices, and laboratory vendors regarding scheduling, test status, and results.
- Track outstanding laboratory orders and follow up to ensure completion.
- Ensure laboratory documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted within required timeframes.
- Maintain organized records while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable healthcare regulations.
- Assist with additional administrative and patient care coordination duties as assigned.
Qualifications - Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and confidential patient records.
- Proficiency with standard computer applications and electronic health records (EHR) systems is preferred.
- 1-2 years of clinical laboratory, healthcare coordination, or related experience.
- Home health experience is a plus but not required.

Compensation - Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
