Home Health Aide Location: Sterling Heights, MI Pay Rate: $26,000 to $35,000 per year
Position Overview We are seeking compassionate, dedicated, and reliable Home Health Aides to join a growing team of healthcare professionals serving the Sterling Heights, MI community. Home Health Aides play a critical role in the broader healthcare ecosystem by providing essential personal care and support services to elderly individuals, those recovering from illness or surgery, and people living with disabilities or chronic health conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks including bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral care
Support mobility needs including transferring, repositioning, and accompanying clients on walks
Prepare and serve nutritious meals in accordance with dietary restrictions and individual preferences
Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, vacuuming, and general tidying of living spaces
Monitor and document changes in client health status and report concerns to supervising clinical staff
Administer medication reminders and ensure clients follow prescribed care routines
Provide companionship, emotional support, and meaningful social engagement during scheduled visits
Transport clients to medical appointments, errands, and community activities as needed
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care activities and observations
Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and family members to ensure consistent, high-quality care
Requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Current Home Health Aide certification or Certified Nursing Assistant credential preferred
Minimum of one year of experience in a caregiving, home health, or similar personal care role
Valid Michigan driver's license and reliable personal transportation
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine empathy for clients
Ability to lift and transfer clients weighing up to 50 pounds safely
Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening prior to employment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a related field is preferred
