About the Role

Help patients regain strength, maintain independence, and achieve their health goals in the comfort of their own homes. As a Home Health Aide, you'll provide hands-on personal care and support that enables patients to recover safely while preserving their dignity and quality of life. Through assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, meal preparation, mobility, and other daily activities, you'll play an important role in helping patients navigate their recovery journey and remain as independent as possible.

This role is ideal for a compassionate caregiver who enjoys building relationships and encouraging progress. You'll work closely with patients, families, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support individualized care plans, monitor patient well-being, and reinforce healthy routines that promote recovery and self-sufficiency. Every visit is an opportunity to help patients gain confidence, celebrate meaningful milestones, and move closer to achieving their highest level of independence.

Location 

  • Office Location: Grand Rapids, MI
  • Main Service Area:  Grand Rapids and surrounding areas
    • This role is a high travel position and requires daily travel within the service area to provide care to patients in their homes, assisted living facilities, or nursing homes

Hours 

  • Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Required Qualification

  • Completed a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training
  • Sixteen hours of classroom must be completed prior to a mandatory 16 hours of practical training
  • Must meet Medicare Home Health Aide training program and competencies
  • Must hold current certification as a nurse aide and be in good standing on the state nurse aide registry
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and valid automobile insurance coverage

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a Home Health Aide, Hospice Aide, or Certified Nursing Assistant

Essential Skills and Competencies

  • Must be able to read and write in English and follow written and verbal instructions in English effectively
  • Understands home health philosophy, comfortable providing specialized care to homebound patients in the home or facility
  • Provides a calm manner when in a patient’s home
  • Has empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and the impaired

Pay Range

$19 - $23USD
