We are a professional staffing firm, working with organizations across the country to place exceptional candidates. Currently, we have a HELOC (Home Equity Line of Credit) Loan Account Servicing Specialist opportunity with a California-chartered commercial bank headquartered in Southern California, serving individuals, professionals, and small- to medium-sized businesses with a full range of deposit, lending, treasury management, and SBA financing solutions. The Bank is known for its relationship-focused approach, personalized service, and commitment to helping businesses and communities grow through customized financial solutions and local decision-making.

The Home Equity Loan Account Servicing Specialist is responsible for the specific duties listed below.

Your specific duties will include:
  • Maintaining and servicing a portfolio of HELOC accounts, including draws, payments, and line maintenance.
  • Processing account transactions, including advances, paydowns, renewals, freezes, and closures.
  • Monitoring account activity and ensuring accurate posting and reconciliation of transactions.
  • Managing rate adjustments and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
  • Processing borrower payments, payoff requests, statements, and lien releases.
  • Supporting escrow administration, including tax and insurance payments, as applicable.
  • Responding to customer inquiries and resolving account servicing issues.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and audit-ready records.
  • Assisting with reporting, quality control reviews, audits, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Identifying and escalating potential fraud, compliance, or operational risks.
Required qualifications for the position include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–5+ years of experience in mortgage or consumer loan servicing, preferably with HELOC products.
  • Strong knowledge of HELOC products and servicing processes.
  • Familiarity with banking regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Knowledge of the Client Navigator system is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications for the position include:
  • Experience with line-of-credit products or second lien mortgages.
  • Prior experience in a regulated financial institution.
Pay Rate Range: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits, including medical, dental, and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
