Senior Helpers of Algonquin is seeking a warm, outgoing, and results-driven Community Relations Coordinator who is passionate about senior care and building meaningful relationships within the community.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with people, developing professional relationships, and turning those relationships into referral opportunities. As a key representative of Senior Helpers of Algonquin, you will build relationships with healthcare professionals, senior living communities, rehabilitation facilities, hospice and home health organizations, and other community partners while helping families connect with the care they need.
What You’ll Do
• Develop and grow referral relationships throughout Algonquin and surrounding communities
• Build strong connections with hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, senior living communities, hospice and home health agencies, physician offices, and other senior-focused organizations
• Conduct regular in-person outreach, follow-ups, presentations, and networking activities
• Generate qualified referrals and help convert opportunities into new clients
• Meet with prospective clients and families to understand their care needs and explain Senior Helpers services
• Represent Senior Helpers at community events, senior fairs, networking events, and professional organizations
• Maintain consistent communication with referral partners and strengthen existing relationships
• Track outreach activities, referrals, follow-ups, and results
• Collaborate with the office team to support business growth and an excellent client experience
• Assist with local marketing and social media efforts as needed
What We’re Looking For
• At least 3 years of experience in sales, business development, community outreach, or relationship management; healthcare, home care, senior living, hospice, or related experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to develop referral relationships and generate new business
• Strong networking, presentation, and relationship-building skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working toward measurable goals
• Professional, personable, persistent, and confident with follow-up
• Ability to independently manage a territory and prioritize high-value referral opportunities
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning industry-specific software
• Genuine interest in serving seniors and their families
• Ability to travel regularly throughout Algonquin and surrounding communities
Compensation & Benefits
• Annual base salary: $60,000–$65,000, paid bi-weekly
• Commission opportunities based on successful business development and referral generation
