Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate:
- Is at least 18 years old
- Demonstrates patience, empathy, and reliability
- Has completed a 60-hour Personal Care Homemaker Training Program (Massachusetts Council) or Holds a valid PCA, HHA, or CNA certification
- Has CPR certification
- Possesses a valid driver’s license and at least one year of personal care experience
- Can pass all required background checks (CORI, OIG, SORI, NARS)
- Is proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
Your Role in Elder Care
As a Personal Care Homemaker, you will be a trusted companion and caregiver, assisting elderly clients with:
Personal Care & Daily Living Support
- Assisting with bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and oral hygiene
- Helping with mobility, transfers, and medication reminders
- Offering companionship and emotional support to reduce loneliness
Household Assistance & Meal Preparation
- Planning and preparing nutritious meals
- Performing light housekeeping, laundry, and grocery shopping
- Assisting with scheduling medical appointments and social activities
Health & Safety Monitoring
- Observing and reporting changes in a client’s physical or mental condition
- Creating a warm and safe environment for comfort and security
