Serving East Charlotte, Mint Hill, Matthews, Stallings, and Indian Trail
Most caregivers go into this work because they want to make a difference in someone's life. At Assisting Hands East Charlotte, that is the whole job.
We are a family and veteran-owned non-medical home care agency. Our caregivers spend much of their time doing something facilities rarely have room for: getting to know their clients. Personal care matters, and you will help with it every day. But what families tell us about most is the caregiver who remembered a favorite song, noticed a skipped meal, or made a quiet afternoon something to look forward to.
We match each caregiver with a small number of regular clients and keep those matches in place. That only works when our caregivers are people clients can count on.
What Your Days Look Like
  • One-on-one time with the same clients each week: conversation, games, walks, hobbies, errands, and appointments
  • Help with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and safe mobility
  • Preparing meals and keeping the home tidy
  • Noticing changes in mood, appetite, or health and reporting them to the office the same day
  • Completing visit notes accurately and on time
What We Expect
  • You arrive on time for every visit and give proper notice when something comes up
  • You follow care plans and office instructions fully and promptly
  • You communicate respectfully and professionally with clients, families, and our office team
  • You are comfortable working independently in a client's home
Qualifications
  • Active North Carolina CNA certification or PCA
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Consistent weekly availability
  • Home care or companion care experience preferred, not required
  • CPR and First Aid certification a plus
What You Can Expect From Us
  • Pay: $16-$18 per hour
  • Regular clients and a predictable schedule
  • Matching based on personality and interests, not just who is available
  • An office team that answers the phone, knows you by name, and backs you up
  • Growth opportunities as our agency expands
How to Apply
Apply through Indeed and answer all screening questions. If your background is a fit, we will contact you to schedule a short virtual interview. Please treat it like your first visit with a client: on time, on camera, in a quiet space, and dressed for work.
Compensation: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
