Home Care Assistant

University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Assistant to join our team in Van Buren Township, MI. In this role, you will provide essential in-home care and support to our clients, helping them maintain their independence and improve their quality of life. We are looking for individuals who are attentive, reliable, and committed to delivering exceptional care.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Administer medication reminders and help manage clients’ schedules.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Monitor and report any changes in clients’ health or behavior to supervisory staff.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding client care and confidentiality.

Requirements

• Previous experience in home care or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with clients and team members.
• Reliable transportation to and from the job location.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
