Home Care Assistant

University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Assistant to provide exceptional in-home care services to clients in Auburn Hills, MI. This role involves supporting individuals with daily living activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety and comfort in a home environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Help with mobility and transferring safely to prevent injury.
• Prepare and serve meals according to dietary guidelines.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Monitor and report any changes in the client’s health or behavior to the supervisor.
• Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate records of services provided and client progress.

Requirements

• Previous experience in home care or caregiving is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and assisting with mobility.
• Reliable, compassionate, and patient demeanor.
• Valid driver’s license or access to reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass background checks.
