Visiting Angels, America’s Choice in Homecare, is looking for caring, reliable individuals to support seniors in Awendaw and nearby communities. We welcome experienced caregivers and CNAs who want to make a meaningful difference through personalized, one-on-one, non-medical home care.


For many seniors, staying at home means keeping their routines, independence, and connection to the community they love. Our caregivers help make that possible by providing practical assistance, companionship, and respectful support.

The Job at a Glance:

• Pay: $15–$17 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
• Position: PRN/Part-Time
• Location: Awendaw and surrounding areas
• Shifts: 4–12 hours, depending on client needs and available assignments
• Availability: Days, evenings, weekends, and occasional overnights
• Training: In-house caregiver training and support
• Hours: Additional hours may be available based on client needs; full-time hours are not guaranteed
  
  

How You Will Help


Every client has different needs. Your role is to provide thoughtful assistance that helps each person feel safe, comfortable, and respected.

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other personal care
• Support walking, mobility, and transfers
• Provide medication reminders
• Prepare simple meals while following dietary instructions
• Accompany clients to appointments, pharmacies, stores, and other outings
• Help maintain a clean, comfortable living space through light housekeeping
• Offer conversation, companionship, and emotional support
• Follow individual care plans and safety guidelines
• Notice and report changes in a client's condition to the office
  
  

What Makes a Great Caregiver?


We are looking for people who are compassionate, attentive, responsible, and comfortable working independently in a client's home.


Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous professional in-home caregiving experience preferred
• CNA, PCA, HHA, or other hands-on caregiving experience welcome
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance
• Good communication skills with clients, families, and office staff
• Ability to follow care instructions and remain calm in unexpected situations
• Successful completion of required background and drug screenings
  
  

Experience with dementia care, CPR, or equipment such as Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, transfer benches, and walkers is a plus. Training may be available.
