Purpose of Position
This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
The Grand Forks Human Nutrition Research Center (HNRC) is a part of the Plains Area Agricultural Research Service (ARS). The Grand Forks HNRC has been a world leader in nutrition research for more than 30 years. The current foundation of research is obesity prevention, health roles of food, and bone health.
The HNRC student position will play a part in a variety of areas regarding USDA studies that are now happening. This position will have the opportunity to work with and monitor human study participants while at the HNRC as well as working directly in a wet or dry laboratory. Duties & Responsibilities
Monitor human study participants at the Grand Forks Human Nutrition Research Center (GF HNRC)
Ensure that study participants follow the study protocol
Keep study participants safe
Serve meals, collect urine samples, and perform light housekeeping tasks
Lab Assistant
Data collection
Data entry
Data quality checks and organization
Identifying/downloading/summarizing research articles
Maintaining chart of lab activities
Assistance in running clinical trials
Assisting with study measures and manuscript preparation
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment.
