Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are currently seeking overnight Histotechnologists or Histotechnicians to join our Histology team!Role Overview:

• Section paraffin and frozen tissue specimens as requested.
• Basic histology techniques (e.g. embed, microtomy, process tissue).
• Analyze and troubleshoot equipment-related issues
• Maintains vital quality control and assurance recordsKey Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field with knowledge of Biology, Chemistry
  • NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Technician, or Certified Histology Technician license preferred. Eligibility to obtain NYS license requiredCore Skills:
    • Ability to perform dilutions and laboratory calculations
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Strong digital literacy including working with databases
    • Problem solver, who can manage complex, high quantity and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.
    • Good decision maker, with proven success of making timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.
    • Committed and eager to take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.Additional Information:
      • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM or 1 AM to 9:00 AM, 100% onsite
