Histology Supervisor
Location: Hayesville, Oregon
Days: Monday - Friday
Full Time/Benefit Eligible
Job Functions, Duties, Responsibilities:
- Perform embedding and preparing slides for routine H & E and special stain procedures
- Perform and document scheduled preventative maintenance
- Recognize troubleshooting needs for processing, embedding, cutting, and staining
- Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards
- Champion safety, compliance, and quality control
Position Qualifications:
- Graduation from a CAHEA/NAACLS accredited school of Histotechnology and HT (ASCP) certification
- 1 year of laboratory training or experience in high complexity testing
- American Society of Clinical Pathologists certification or equivalent
- Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to operate general laboratory equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of laboratory training or experience in a high volume laboratory with special stain and immunohistochemistry experience
