What You'll Do
As a Machinist II, you will be responsible for:
Executing non-standard, custom machine setups and operations on conventional manufacturing equipment.
Expertly operating manual lathes (including single-point threading) and manual milling machines to produce precision parts.
Applying fundamental cutting expertise, including calculating optimal feeds and speeds, selecting proper blades, and managing tooling.
Inspecting and verifying machined parts against complex blueprints and engineering drawings using precision measuring tools and gauges.
Utilizing SolidWorks to review and manipulate 3D part files and Mastercam software to support production workflows.
Performing basic quality control checks and visual inspections to ensure all parts meet exact tolerances.
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace while collaborating with the broader production team.
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Strong, proven experience with manual machining (manual mill and lathe operations are essential).
3+ years of manual machining experience preferred.
2-year Technical Degree in Machining Technology or equivalent field preferred.
Must possess your own set of personal machinist hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
Proficiency with SolidWorks (3D solid modeling) and Mastercam software; strong ability to interpret blueprints and engineering schematics.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, bend, or move around the production floor for extended periods.
Strong commitment to workplace safety, high attention to detail, clear communication, and a team-oriented mindset.
