NOW HIRING – SPECIAL NEEDS CAREGIVER
Location: Lithia, Florida
Paramount Home Health Care LLC is seeking a compassionate, patient, experienced, and reliable caregiver to provide one-on-one care for a patient with special needs in the Lithia, FL area.
The patient lives at home with his parents, who are a wonderful and supportive family to work with.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (40Hr a week)
- Evening Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM (Midnight)
- Morning Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Pay: Negotiable based on experience
- Work Environment: Private family home, no pets
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized one-on-one care and supervision.
- Assist with dressing and daily personal care needs.
- Prompt and encourage the patient to eat meals.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Recognize behavioral triggers and effectively manage challenging behaviors or crisis situations using safe de-escalation techniques.
- Maintain a safe, calm, and supportive environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with individuals with special needs is prefered but not required.
- Experience with behavioral challenges and crisis intervention is strongly preferred.
- Must be patient, compassionate, dependable, and understanding.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during challenging situations.
