Key Responsibilities:- Lead and oversee daily HIM operations
- Manage medical records, coding, and documentation processes
- Ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met
- Maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity of patient information
- Lead, train, and support HIM staff
- Oversee audits, record completion, and release of information
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams
- Improve HIM workflows and departmental processes
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:- 5+ years of HIM experience
- Previous HIM leadership/management experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical records, coding, compliance, and HIM operations
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a rural hospital environment
- State license not required
- Facility Details:
- 25-bed Critical Access Hospital
- Average Acute Daily Census: 20
- Observation ADC: 8
- Total ADC: 28
- No holiday coverage required
- Flu vaccine required – no exceptions
