Client Profile- Indiana based company specializing in providing commercial maintenance services.
Job Summary- Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of interstate roads, highways and roadways for the safety of traveling public. Must be comfortable working outside in all weather conditions.
Duties
Must have proper work attire and personal protection
Work is performed outside in varying weather conditions- hot or cold, wind, rain and snow, dust, pollen, rough/rugged grass and plants, trash
Standing for extended time doing traffic control; picking up highway/roadway traffic signs
Walking long distances for litter control; loading and unloading trash bags
Comply with safety standards; comfortable with reading and interpreting documents, manuals, instructions, etc.
Follow company policies and procedures
Additional tasks, duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of experience maintaining roads, operating equipment including self propelled broom, roller and or mower
Prior traffic control training a plus
Must have a valid driver license if in a Supervisor role
Comfortable working in all weather conditions; using hands, ability to lift up to 50 pounds; climbing, reaching kneeling, etc.
Organized with ability to multitask and prioritize workflow
Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check (felonies are addressed on a case by case base) and drug screen
Hours: M-F 7am to 4pm (1 hour lunch), occasional Saturdays; some travel in designated metropolitan area(s)
Starting pay up to $14.00 hourly (negotiable for the right person). No group health insurance- other incentives, PTO and vacation; bonus included
