Our school is a place where children feel safe, happy and valued and are able to achieve their absolute potential. Learning is engaging and inspiring and we have exceptionally high expectations for our children in terms of their academic achievements as well as personal, social and emotional development.

'Relationships between staff and pupils are highly positive. Pupils are at the heart of all that the school does. Staff value each pupil as an individual.

Over time, the school has established extremely high expectations for all. Well-trained and talented staff ensure that all pupils have many opportunities to succeed and to meet these high expectations over time. Pupils achieve well, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). - OFSTED 2025

As a member of our team, it is key that:

  • Your priority in the classroom is building relationships with children;
  • Your values are aligned to our school values of love, kindness, aspiration and self-belief;
  • You are committed to ensuring every child achieves their absolute potential, regardless of background or barriers;
  • You are confident in supporting as well as leading groups of children;
  • You have exceptionally high expectations for our children;
  • You are committed to a team approach - being a small school, we all contribute and help each other across aspects of school life.
  • You have a good understanding of the National curriculum and how children learn best.

As HLTA you will be required to cover Planning, Preparation and Assessment time in Early Years and Key Stage One. You will be required to support children under the direction of other teachers and leaders in school.

As GTA you will be required to support children in Early Years and Key Stage One under the direction of the class teacher, which may mean at times that you are working with children who require further support.

As an MSA you will be required to support the team in the lunch hall and in the playground to ensure a caring and safe environment. You would be required to work indoors and outdoors when supervising children to ensure their safety at all times.

Our school is a Reception Lead Network school, and we take great pride in our Early Years provision. At the centre of our approach is a nurturing, language-rich and inclusive environment where play is recognised as the foundation for learning. Our skilled practitioners foster children's thinking through meaningful interactions and thoughtfully planned experiences. Open-ended and natural resources inspire curiosity, creativity and independence, while providing opportunities to support and extend children's play. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside a dedicated and experienced team committed to giving every child the very best start in life.

The post will be offered on fixed term basis initially until 26th July 2027. There may be an opportunity that this post is extended into the following academic year.
