GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Butler County Alternative Education Programs seeks qualified and compassionate High School Teachers to join our dedicated team in educating at-risk youth in Math, English, Social Studies, or Science in an alternative setting. As a teacher in our programs, you will play a crucial role in positively impacting the lives of young individuals by providing them with educational opportunities and support.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Valid High School Ohio Teaching License
  • Exemplary knowledge of pedagogical best practices and curriculum
  • Experience in differentiating instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students, including those with various academic backgrounds and abilities.
  • Ability to utilize restorative practices and trauma-informed teaching approaches to create a supportive educational atmosphere.
  • Knowledge of effective behavior management strategies to maintain a positive and focused learning environment.
  • Experience in implementing engaging and culturally responsive lesson plans that align with state standards.
  • Proven ability to model a positive image in dress, behavior, language, and attitude
  • Proven leadership and organizational skills
  • Willingness and ability to work as a team member
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, and community.
  • Proven ability to foster collaborative efforts
  • Good organizational skills and detail-oriented
  • Physically fit with the ability to perform restraints when needed.
