The Tomah Area School District has the following extracurricular vacancy beginning in the 2026-27 school year: Tomah High School PBIS Coordinator
DESCRIPTION OF MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION:
The Tomah High School PBIS Coordinator is responsible for the facilitation of the THS PBIS program. This program includes proactive and responsive measures to ensure THS is meeting the needs of the students and staff in all areas of PBIS.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Data-Driven Decision Making: in coordination with administration track, analyze, and report on discipline referrals, attendance, and behavioral trends.
- Tiered Interventions: Oversee and coordinate Tier I (universal school-wide), Tier II (targeted small group), and Tier III (intensive individual) supports.
- Staff Coaching & Training: assist in the mentoring of building staff in effective classroom management and positive behavior strategies.
- Program Leadership: Facilitate building-level PBIS leadership team meetings and actively participate in district level PBIS/MLSS leadership teams as necessary.
- School Climate Initiatives: Manage school-wide recognition systems (student and staff)
- Other duties as assigned
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide a behavioral support system within the classroom and building by helping staff create a positive, supportive learning environment with an emphasis on the Tier I Classroom Prevention Cycle to create an atmosphere conducive to effective academic instruction in a positive and safe school.
- Work with staff to develop strategies within their rooms that are aligned with the Tier I strategies used throughout the building.
