POSITION OVERVIEW:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The following duties are typical for this position, though should not to be construed as all-inclusive or exclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
1)Primary responsibility is EL services and collaborative planning with academic teachers (grades 9-12) as well as participating in a Professional Learning Community with other 4K-12 EL teachers across the school district.
2)Additional responsibilities include working with individual and small groups of students, assisting general education teachers in implementing literacy strategies in the classroom, and developing positive home/school relationships with diverse family structures.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
The Marshall Public School District is looking for a professional EL teacher who can support our Multilingual Learner population. This may be done through co-planning/co-teaching with other teachers, working with a group of students, establishing strong relationships through outreach to families, and collaboration with other Marshall Staff to plan and implement EL support.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1)Ability to creatively work with, build relationships, and support students that need language support.
2)Ability to collaborate with and coach colleagues to help all staff learn and implement strategies that continue moving our structures toward equity for all students.

a)Required:
i) 1777 - Regular Education
ii) 1395 - English as a Second Language
iii) 1023 - Bilingual-Bicultural Education
