    Purpose/Objective of the Role:

    The herbarium intern will assist curators in upgrading OWU's research collections, mounting and repairing specimens, and packing and sending specimens to other museums.

    Qualifications:

    • Previous experience is not required, but the work requires attention to detail and care in handling fragile and sometimes irreplaceable research specimens.

    • Useful skills and experience for this position:

    • Work with archival materials

    • Library experience

    • Activities involving careful record-keeping

    • Biology course work

    • Completion of biology courses helpful, but not required.
