    Hemet, California | Low Census | 7-On/7-Off

    InHospital Physicians is seeking a full-time Hospitalist physician to join a well-supported inpatient program at a 327-bed acute-care hospital in Hemet, California. This W-2 opportunity offers a predictable daytime schedule, manageable patient census, dedicated Intensivist support, and AI-assisted documentation.

    Position Highlights

    • $280,000 annual base salary

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Provide high-quality inpatient care to an average daily census of approximately 16 patients

    • Conduct daily patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans

    • Review diagnostic results, medications, clinical changes, and specialist recommendations

    • Coordinate care with Intensivists, specialists, nurses, case managers, pharmacists, and other clinical team members

    • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and discharge planning

    • Communicate treatment plans and clinical updates clearly with patients and their families

    • Complete progress notes, discharge summaries, medication reconciliation, and other required documentation

    • Promote safe and efficient transitions of care

    • Support quality, patient-safety, utilization-management, and hospital performance initiatives

    • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, medical-staff standards, and applicable regulatory requirements

    The Hospitalist is not responsible for procedures or responding to codes. Although the hospital has an open ICU, dedicated Intensivists manage critical-care patients and perform ICU procedures.

    Candidate Requirements

    • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree

    • Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

    • Active California medical license or eligibility to obtain one

    • Ability to obtain hospital privileges and meet medical-staff credentialing requirements

    • Current, unrestricted DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one

    • Strong clinical judgment and inpatient-care experience

    • Effective communication, teamwork, and documentation skills

    • Commitment to patient-centered, safe, and efficient care

    Compensation and Employment
