About the Role
The Hematology/Oncology Attending Physician will provide comprehensive hematology and oncology services, primarily on-site at Highland Hospital, with remote consultation services supporting San Leandro Hospital and Alameda Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
+ Diagnose and treat a broad range of solid tumors and hematologic malignancies, including lymphoma, and multiple myeloma.
+ Manage benign hematologic conditions, including anemia, neutropenia, thrombocytopenia, thrombotic disorders, and bleeding disorders.
+ Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating chemotherapy, targeted therapies, immunotherapy, and genomic testing.
+ Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures, including bone marrow biopsies.
+ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
+ Educate and support patients and families throughout diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and survivorship.
+ Participate in resident education and mentorship, helping cultivate the next generation of physicians.
+ Contribute to the growth and development of the hematology/oncology practice.
Qualifications
+ MD or DO degree.
+ Board eligible or board certified in Hematology and Medical Oncology.
+ Valid California medical license.
+ Valid DEA registration.
Compensation & Benefits
+ Annual compensation: $509,000, with opportunities for additional pay.

Pay Range: $218.70 - $229.21/ Hour
_The pay range for this position reflects the base pay scale for the role at Alameda Health System. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, and certifications, departmental equity, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and the operational needs of the organization.
