PrideStaff is seeking entry level Shop Helpers for a manufacturing company in Escalon, CA.
Job Summary - The Helper 1 is responsible for performing various duties related to manufacturing processes and other shop functions at a basic level in order to support the organization’s production requirements. Individuals in this position are being trained in a specific area in anticipation of advancement into a more specialized job within the organization. Responsible for participating, supporting, and maintaining compliance to the Company’s quality, environmental and occupational health & safety policies, procedures, programs, and activities as defined by the Company. Position responsibilities do not include direct communications with employees, customers, or representatives.
Duties andResponsibilities Include the Following:
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
- Can use minor machines including overhead crane, fork lift, hydraulic press, and angle grinder.
- Able to break parts out of steel sheets.
- Ability to sort and stack parts.
- Able to clean and grind assigned parts.
- Able to caulk parts as assigned.
- Able to chase threads on parts as assigned.
- Ability to countersink parts with assistance.
- Responsible for painting parts when assigned.
- Assists Press Break Operators when needed.
Qualifications Include the Following:
- Recent, relevant work experience within the past 12 months
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools preferred
- Ability to read a tape measure preferred
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and consistently lift 50+ pounds
- Must be comfortable working in loud work environments
- Must be at least 18 years old and able to show proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screening
Full time, Temp to Hire, Monday - Friday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm
