DRIVE WITH THE BEST.

RECOVER WHAT OTHERS CAN’T.

A loaded tractor-trailer rolls over.

A commercial vehicle leaves the roadway.

A heavy truck goes down in the worst possible place.

Traffic is stacking up, the scene is complicated, and somebody needs to know exactly what they’re doing.

That’s when Interstate gets the call.

And that’s when you go to work.

Interstate Towing is hiring experienced Heavy-Duty Wrecker & Recovery Operators who know how to handle serious equipment, difficult scenes, and the responsibility that comes with both.

We’re looking for operators who can rig it, winch it, lift it, recover it, and clear the scene safely.

If you can run heavy and recover clean, we want to talk.

THIS ISN’T JUST TOWING.

THIS IS HEAVY RECOVERY.

This is the work that requires experience, judgment, patience, and real skill.

Tractor-Trailer Recoveries

Rotator Operations

Heavy-Duty Wreckers

Winching & Rigging

Rollovers & Uprighting

Commercial Vehicle Recovery

Complex Accident Scenes

Breakdowns & Heavy Transport

No two scenes are exactly alike.

That’s exactly why the operator matters.

RIG IT RIGHT.

RECOVER IT CLEAN.

CLEAR THE SCENE.

When the call comes in, you’ll work closely with Dispatch to understand the situation, get the right equipment rolling, and handle the job professionally from arrival through final clearance.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Respond to Dispatch and arrive safely, prepared, and ready to work

Operate heavy-duty wreckers, rotators, and recovery equipment

Recover tractors, trailers, commercial vehicles, and equipment from accidents, breakdowns, rollovers, and complex scenes

Perform winching, rigging, lifting, uprighting, and recovery operations

Assess each scene and determine the safest, most effective recovery approach

Transport recovered vehicles to customer destinations, repair facilities, or impound yards

Complete thorough truck and equipment inspections

Perform preventive maintenance and report mechanical defects immediately

Maintain accurate paperwork and clean, detailed recovery documentation

Follow all applicable size, weight, route, hours-of-service, DOT, and company safety requirements

Communicate professionally with Dispatch, customers, law enforcement, first responders, and others on scene

Represent Interstate like a professional every time you step out of the truck

THE TRUCK PROVIDES THE POWER.

THE OPERATOR PROVIDES THE JUDGMENT.

The easy recoveries aren’t what separate the great operators.

It’s what you do when the scene doesn’t go according to plan.

The angle is bad.

The weather is getting worse.

Traffic is backing up.

The load has shifted.

The equipment isn’t sitting where you need it.

Your first plan isn’t going to work.

What happens next?

A skilled recovery operator doesn’t panic.

You assess. Communicate. Re-rig. Reposition. And make the right call.

No shortcuts.

No unnecessary risks.

No ego.

Just experienced operators doing difficult work the right way.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING

THE MUST-HAVES:

Valid Class A CDL

Proven experience operating heavy-duty wreckers

Real-world heavy recovery experience

Strong winching and rigging skills

Experience handling rollovers and complex recovery scenes

The judgment to adapt when the job doesn’t go according to plan

Clean driving record with no recent moving or driving violations

Comfortable using electronic equipment, dispatch systems, and telematics software

Ability to operate safely around traffic, weather, heavy equipment, and changing roadside conditions

EVEN BETTER.

We especially want to hear from operators experienced in:

the more opportunity there is to put it to work.

THEIR WORST DAY.

YOUR TIME TO BE AT YOUR BEST.

When you arrive, the customer may be having one of the worst days they’ve had in a long time.

Their truck is down.

Their equipment may be damaged.

Their load may be compromised.

Traffic may be stopped.

They may have no idea what happens next.

You do.

That means being calm.

Being professional.

Explaining what needs to happen.

Taking control of the recovery.

And representing Interstate Towing like a professional from the moment you arrive until the scene is clear.

You’re not just recovering equipment.

You’re helping make a bad situation right.
